Wish You Well

I know what other people say about me
I know their heads turn as they stare
I guess that there’s no love for being unconventional
The problem is that I don’t care

It doesn’t matter if you quibble
It doesn’t matter if you think I’m strange
It doesn’t matter if you make my shoes go missing
‘Cause I’m never gonna change

It’s fine if you call me Loony Lovegood
That’s great, because I’ll turn the other cheek
Broomsticks and stones may break my bones
And, just like magic from a spell
I walk on by and wish you well

Sometimes I wonder if I’m in the right house
Although I’m clever for a Ravenclaw
Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure
I think they think I’m kind of odd

It doesn’t matter if you gossip
It doesn’t matter what you think of me
It doesn’t matter if you like me or not
But don’t disrespect my family

It’s fine if you call me Loony Lovegood
That’s great, because I’ll turn the other cheek
Broomsticks and stones may break my bones
And, just like magic from a spell
I walk on by and wish you …

Well, you think you’re going crazy
Well, you’re just as sane as me, my friend
Sometimes important things go missing
But they turn up in the end

I know I may seem sweet and unimposing
But watch what happens when you mess with my friends
It is the duty of good people to stand
To protect, prevent, defend

It doesn’t matter if you hate me
It doesn’t matter if you try to offend
The only thing that really matters
Is, light shines out darkness in the end

It’s fine if you call me Loony Lovegood
That’s great, because I’ll turn the other cheek
Broomsticks and stones may break my bones
And, just like magic from a spell
I may get mad, but you know I’ll never dwell

And, just like magic from a spell
I walk on by and wish you well
I wish you well
I wish you well
